A licence shaped around your projects

No two Tessa customers buy the same thing. Prices depend on your country, your team and the data you need, so instead of a price list we build each licence from four simple choices and send you a tailored quote.

01

Choose your licence term

License Tessa for the length of a single project, or subscribe for your whole portfolio of work.

  • Per project

Best for one-off studies and consultancy mandates

A licence tied to a specific project and its timeline. Ideal when Tessa supports a defined study, tender or design phase.

  • Annual subscription

    Best for ongoing planning work

A yearly licence, renewed each year, covering every project your team runs in Tessa.

02

Choose how your team accesses Tessa

Pick the model that matches how many people use Tessa and how intensively.

  • Fixed seats

Best for independents and small teams

    • Seats for named users
    • Extendable usage quotas
  • Floating seats

    Best for larger teams

    • A set number of concurrent seats for your team
    • Seats can be freely reassigned
    • Organisation administration tools
    • Extendable usage quotas
  • Usage-based

    Best for enterprises

    • Base access fee for your whole organisation
    • Metered billing for storage and tool usage
    • Organisation administration tools
    • Custom billing arrangements

Every access model includes the full Tessa platform with specialist modules enabled by default. If you need a different bundle for your market, we can tailor it.

03

Add the data modules you need

Start projects from ready-made building, demand and street network data instead of collecting it yourself.

  • CH

Swiss National Energy & Routing Model

National-scale energy demand and load curve model derived from public data, with routing from the national streets database.

  • FR

    France Chaleur Urbaine

National-scale estimates of heating and cooling demand across France.

  • OSM

    OpenStreetMap + Archetypes

OpenStreetMap buildings with a custom-mappable archetype model, and routing from the OpenStreetMap street graph.

  • NNJ

    Demand Ninja Load Curves

Peer reviewed open-access model of building load curves from yearly demand.

Data modules available in H2 2026. New regions are added regularly. Working somewhere else, or with your own data? Our data integration service can bring it into Tessa.

04

Add services from our experts

Combine your licence with hands-on support from the engineers and data scientists who build Tessa.

  • Training

Onboarding and specialised training in building and urban energy modelling and low-temperature district heating and cooling.

  • IT & technical integration

Connect Tessa to your existing tools and workflows through exports, the API and AI assistant integration.

  • Data integration

Bring your GIS layers, building registries and network data into Tessa, or build custom data products for your territory.

  • Design consulting

Expert support for low-temperature network design and optimisation, and low-temperature geothermal projects.

  • I can calculate different variants of district heating and cooling networks 5 times as fast and write the corresponding reports. This helps my customers to make well-founded decisions without having to repeatedly place new orders for variants.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can I try Tessa before buying a licence?

Yes. Create a free account to explore Tessa, then talk to us when you're ready for a licence.

  • What is the difference between fixed and floating seats?

Fixed seats belong to named users. Floating seats set how many people can use Tessa at the same time, and anyone in your team can take a free seat, so they suit larger teams with occasional users.

  • How does usage-based billing work?

Your organisation pays a base access fee, plus a variable fee for the storage and tools it actually uses. It suits organisations with many users or highly variable workloads.

  • Can I license Tessa for a single project?

Yes. Per-project licences cover a defined project and timeline, which suits consultancy mandates and one-off studies.

  • Are specialist modules included?

Yes. Every licence includes the full Tessa platform with specialist modules enabled by default. We can tailor the bundle if your market calls for it.

  • What if there is no data module for my region?

The OpenStreetMap module works wherever OpenStreetMap has building and street data, and our data integration service can bring your own GIS and building data into Tessa.

  • Can I combine a licence with training or consulting?

Yes. Training, IT and data integration, and design consulting can be added to any licence and are included in the same quote.
